I have been reading that lost in translation essay every day this week and trying to pinpoint why?! It feels like playing a sad song on repeat when you have broken up with someone. Was thinking about it this morning in the context of Matthew Perry’s death and wondering if all these things feel so much more momentous as they were genuinely the end of something - I think friends was one of the last shows that EVERYONE has watched , and so the loss feels bigger than just his death. Anyway it was a beautifully written relevant and researched piece and that in itself is such a rarity so felt like I just had inject just that into my veins.
